spring break 2009

SUNDAY MARCH 22:
after church, robert and i took the boys to little rock. we went to the museum of discovery. it's a hands on museum for adults and children. after that we walked down to the river and up and down president clinton blvd. we came home and all took a ride on the 4 wheeler. we found our selves stopped at a clover patch, and robert knows how much i love to find 4 leaf clovers. i'm not bragging but give me a clover patch and in about 5 minutes i can find you atleast one 4 leaf clover. well this day was different. i searched and searched for one, could not find one anywhere. yea, i was getting upset because that just doesn't happen with me. so anyway here we are looking, even luke and logan are looking. and luke all of a sudden says, "hey, i found a 4 leaf clover" and robert and i are like yea right. sure enough he had found the biggest 4 leaf clover i had ever seen. i decided to quit looking after about 30 minutes and it got dark anyway. so we went about our evening routine.

MONDAY MARCH 23:
the boys and i didn't do much today. we spent alot of time outside since it was so beautiful. luke rode the 4 wheeler alot and logan rode the gator. as i sat outside with the boys, i spotted a huge clover patch in our yard, so guess what i had to do? i had to make sure i still had the touch, so i marched myself over to that patch, i found a nice cozy position and i start looking....... well if my neighbors were watching me, they probably thought i was the biggest fruit loop, because after about five minutes i had found three 4 leaf clovers and guess what?!!! one 5 leaf clover, i was beside myself. i was excited to know i still had the touch!!!! after i calmed down. the boys and i had a picnic in their clubhouse.

TUESDAY MARCH 24:
so the first thing i do this morning is call the doctor to see if i could get logan in. the night before he was complaining about his ear hurting and then again early this morning. so i knew it had to be infected. and sure enough the doctor said it was. just when i thought we were done with ear infections. this will be the first infection logan has had since he had tubes put in around janurary 07. today was rainy and dreary, so we built a huge house out of blankets and chairs inside the house. we found out later that evening when robert got home that david (his boss) is going to start work in pennsylvania. so we have been thinking alot and dealing with that lately. it's been nerve racking to think that we possibly could move to pennsylvania or stay around here and not know what to do. we both have said that we won't move again but who knows what GOD wants us to do, so we have been doing some serious praying about things and we need to just give it time. one thing that i never want for my boys is to be moved around the united states and not have any close friends or a normal life. and david might be able to have houses all over the u.s. but robert and i can't do that. we already have two and that is enough.

WEDNESDAY MARCH 25:
today was a very relaxing day. we did alot of finger painting, and had another picnic outside. we had rain chances every day this week so it was difficult to plan alot of things outside. so we hung around the house today.

THURSDAY MARCH 26:
i told luke that we would try to go to the park atleast one day this week, and it looked like time was running out, so even though it was cold and still a bit wet we ordered a pizza and took it to the park. unfortunatly they didn't get to play on the equipment because it was wet, but we did take a long walk on the trail. the boys enjoyed that and i didn't feel bad for not keeping my word. we ran a few errands after that then went on to the house. robert got home early today and we all did some yard work.

FRIDAY MARCH 27:
i did some of my house work today so i wouldn't have to do it this weekend. robert and i went out to dinner with another couple and then we went bowling. macy came over from next door and watched the boys for us. they always have a blast with her.

SATURDAY MARCH 28:
so our whole family is together today. we got to sleep in a little bit. it was cold today, but the boys still wanted to play outside, and so we did. robert continued to rebuild his old car, and i decided that i would be a good wife and crawl up under it and get my hands dirty with him. he loved it and i didn't think it was that bad. nothing like a little bonding. actually i had fun. see, latley, over the past few weeks something has changed inside of me, and i know exactly what it is. i never thought that i could ever feel the way i do towards my husband. everyday i know i will love him more. we have become so close since our move to arkansas. we have had to depend on each other and we both feel like we are eachothers best friend. i want to do so much for him. everyday i want to just try new things, and do anything i can think of that will make him happy. i can't wait to wake up tomorrow and know that i will love him more than i did today. i am at a loss of words when it comes to us and how much our relationship has grown. there are no words to describe what i feel for him. and like i said earlier, i know exactly what it is, it's God!!! i can finally say that i know what a marriage that has God in the center of it feels like. this is what true love is.

so later that night robert cooks dinner for the boys and me, and then makes me an early birthday cake. i will give him credit, he did TRY to make a cake, lets just say it was "man" made. but the thought means so much more than if it was the best cake i had ever tasted. and it really wasn't that bad. we get the boys off to bed and we watch a movie that we rented.

SUNDAY MARCH 29:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!!!!

so today is my birthday. let me tell you the greatest thing in the world, is to have your three favorite men pile in bed with you and give you your birthday card and present. i would of been extremely happy just to have them pile up with me. we all got ready for church and off we went. we went to eat after church then robert took off to meet up with david and have a little heart to heart just about work, family, and life. robert has been dealing with alot latley, see i don't think that i am the only one that God has been changing, i believe that he is also working on robert which is good because robert is starting to see what is worth speaking up for. so robert leaves the house and just as i get out of my church clothes and into more comfortable ones my door bell rings and there are purple flowers and a birthday cake being delivered. it was from my wonderful husband. how he pulled that off, i don't know, but it was perfect!! purple is my favorite color and it was a vanilla cake with butter cream icing. yum!yum! he really is the best ever. tonight we are watching the movie Fireproof and eating pizza at church. it will be our second time to watch the movie, but we don't mind cause this day and age, married couples need all the help they can get. so that wraps up our spring break week.

over the next few weeks things will be getting quite busy. i have two weddings to go to, a marriage conference, family reunion, luke will be graduating from preschool and we will be taking our first camping trip of the year pretty soon. can't wait to write more.

exhausting weekend

well last weekend was an exhausting one. the boys and i drove to poteau last friday and robert followed early saturday morning. our reason for visiting the "old hometown" was to clean up our house down there. we have had renters in it for the last year and finally decided to sell the place. so my dad and robert worked on the yard and the shops while mom and i cleaned the house. we all did minor repairs and had the place looking better than ever. we started working about 8 saturday morning and before we knew it, it was 7 o'clock. you should of seen us that evening, we could barely lift our arms. my dad sure did fix us the best hard days work dinner though: steak and shrimp, baked potatoes with all the fixins, green beans and salad. yum! yum! on sunday, mom, the boys, and i went to church (the men went back out to the house to finish up things) i got to see one of my best friends chanelle. and later that afternoon we had her wedding shower. and i got to see another friend that i hadn't seen in 6 years, brianne. robert and the boys headed home and i followed about an hour behind. i got home about 9 o'clock that night, had to get everyone ready for school and work the next day then headed to bed. then, just as i fall asleep robert and i hear a neighbors dog barking right outside our window, that was irritating. so needless to say i am so glad that weekend is over. we got the house listed, so hopefully the right buyer will come along.
